A Magnetic Stirrer is an instrument used in the laboratory for general mixing and cell growth applications. The stirrers are made of stationary electromagnets that create a rotating magnetic field which manipulates the stir bar submerged in the spinner flask causing it to spin.

The magnetic Stirrer control box also acts as a splitter for the 12V power supply. The power supply plugs into the control box, and the cable with a plug on the end goes into the ‘power in’ socket of the interface.
